BB2G + BCF | The Shield Project is a closed-by-default child and family safety ecosystem combining prevention, education, reporting, survivor support, certified data, trusted APIs, local-first technology, safe games and media, family-controlled identity and permissions, evidence integrity, professional training, vetted resources, scholarships, institutional accountability, and global deployment.
The design principle is to create useful, joyful digital spaces in which children can learn, play, build, communicate, and progressively gain independence without requiring unrestricted exposure to the public internet.

Every curriculum object carries provenance, version, review date, age tier, reviewer role, accessibility notes, and jurisdictional scope when relevant.

Modes: Shield Air Gap - completely disconnected; Shield Local Space - LAN only; Shield Private Space - authenticated private connections between approved households/sites; Shield Connected Space - carefully filtered external services.
Parent console: Children, Games, Friends, Screen Time, Communication, Content, Family Vault, Activity, Emergency Lock.
Game Packs may include Cadet Series, Shield Detective Academy, Photo Clue, Mapping Missions, Cyber Scouts, Safe Coding Lab, Living Books, Aurora educational worlds, history/science/nature adventures, family cooperative games, creative building environments, and critical-thinking mysteries.
Game manifest: Game ID, developer, version, SHA-256, age tier, content classification, network permissions, purchases, advertising, external links, voice, chat, telemetry, location, camera, microphone, certified datasets, certification expiry.
Launcher verifies signed package and hash before execution; mismatch blocks launch.
Web, TV, Learn & AI
WebSpace uses a Shield Certified Index for younger tiers. Little Explorer: certified only. Explorer: certified plus parent-approved domains. Cadet: expanded web with family rules. Senior Cadet: progressive autonomy.
TVSpace supports approved local/licensed media offline. Commercial streaming remains subject to provider licensing, DRM, advertising, tracking, and platform behavior; Shield claims only controls it can verify.
LearnSpace supports Watch -> Read -> Ask -> Map -> Play -> Quiz -> Build. Shield AI can use certified knowledge packs and age-policy enforcement. StudySpace supports homework, tutoring, languages, reading support, quizzes, flashcards, and guided practice.
Code, Maker & No-Code Building Rooms
CodeSpace supports planning, coding, testing, debugging, and playing with certified libraries, local documentation, offline fixtures, and age-tier APIs. MakerSpace extends this to robotics, electronics, microcontrollers, 3D printing, STEM kits, and physical computing.
Building Rooms accept approved files and requirements, then scaffold interfaces, data models, tests, documentation, and deployment packages.
Pipeline: Intake -> Classify -> Provenance Scan -> Requirements -> Architecture -> Scaffold -> Tests -> Security Checks -> Content Checks -> Human Approval -> Package/Deploy.
Automation cannot bypass safeguarding, security, privacy, content, or deployment approval.
FriendSpace, Comms & Progressive Autonomy
One family-approved social graph can govern games, messages, voice/video, collaborative homework, coding, Living Books, and family events. Per-contact permissions include play, preset messages, text, voice, video, file sharing, collaborative building, and allowed hours.
Remote friend connections use authenticated private endpoints. Children do not exchange raw IP addresses, API keys, or administrator credentials. Revocation terminates relationship credentials and blocks future sessions.
Safety reduces unwanted access to children; it does not eliminate age-appropriate privacy. The goal is progressive independence, not indefinite surveillance.
Shield Gateway & Family Console
External Services -> Parent/Admin Gateway -> Shield Policy Engine -> Certification Verification -> Age-Tier Rules -> Family Rules -> Child Environment.
The same policy governs games, web, TV, AI, books, coding, friends, education, media, and creation.
Family Console manages child profiles, connection mode, services, communication, purchases, location, advertising controls where supported, bedtime, emergency lock, approved friends, and progressive autonomy.
Offline / Open-Space Network
Local device/server -> signed Shield packages -> local search/index -> age policy engine -> approved tools/models -> local audit log -> optional controlled sync gateway.
School mode: classroom profiles, approved packs, assignments, local coding, no unrestricted fallback.
Home mode: parent console, Family Vault, age tier, approved packs, scheduled sync.
Phone mode: offline reference packs, emergency resources, certified content protected by device security.
Community mode: schools, churches, libraries, camps, foster-care programs, tribal communities, rural communities, shelters, youth centers.
Offline is not automatically secure; patching, encryption, access control, physical security, backups, and safe updates remain required.

Certification applies to datasets, APIs, SDKs, software libraries, curriculum, games, media, research collections, and expert knowledge packs.
Review domains: identity, provenance, intended use, age ranges, licensing/data rights, privacy, security, storage, transmission, encryption, access control, secret management, audit logs, dependencies, vulnerability scans, incident response, backup, schema, API behavior, versioning, errors, rate limits, quotas, SDK quality, tests, observability, accuracy, completeness, source quality, bias, hate/harassment risk, sexual/violent content, misinformation, cultural context, age appropriateness, accessibility, controlled deployment, anomaly detection, failure modes, abuse-case testing.
Decision: Pass / Conditional Pass / Fail. Certification records version, scope, conditions, issue date, expiry, reviewer roles, change triggers, appeals. Recertify at least annually and after material changes or incidents.

Healthy Launch - education and stabilization. Second Start - interrupted education. Shield Futures - child-protection professions. Survivor Leadership Fellowship - paid expertise, never paid trauma disclosure. Shield Innovation Fellowship - legitimate child-safety research and technology.
Survivor services measure safety, stability, health, education, justice participation, agency, and long-term recovery. Participation in publicity is never a condition of assistance.
Shield Report, Evidence & Safeguarding
Reporting front door: immediate danger; missing child; online exploitation; possible trafficking; possible abuse; unsafe institution/program; family/court concern; survivor assistance; not sure.
Urgency and credibility are separate. AI may organize, deduplicate, summarize, and support routing but cannot independently determine guilt, witness credibility, or caregiver fitness.
Evidence chain: Original -> SHA-256 -> Timestamp -> Provenance -> Access Log -> Working Copy -> Referral Record -> Disposition.
Suspected CSAM is routed to authorized reporting mechanisms rather than accumulated in an ordinary upload repository. An independent safeguarding channel handles concerns about Shield itself. Never build a public accusation database from unverified tips.
Global Shield
Every operating country receives a Country Protection Profile: emergency authority, child-protection authority, trafficking authority, missing-child mechanism, reporting channels, consular resources, victim services, mandatory-reporting considerations, privacy/data-transfer restrictions, verified partners.
Global Justice & Court Navigation maps competent courts, treaty/cooperation mechanisms, victim-rights pathways, international organizations, and qualified counsel. Physical recovery operations remain with authorized law enforcement or appropriately licensed/authorized entities.
Public Accountability & Adoption
Dashboard: Protection; Training; Scholarships; Network; Accountability/Safeguarding; Financials; Geographic Coverage; Certified Data/API/Game/Media adoption; Corrections & Methodology.
Every metric displays definition, reporting period, source, verification status, last updated.
Adoption tiers: Community/Public-Interest; Family; Business; Organization; Government/Institution; Strategic/International; Co-Developer. Commercial access remains separate from independent certification decisions.
Hash Provenance
Every deliverable receives a Shield Release Manifest with release ID, version, build timestamp, filename, SHA-256 digest, parent manifest hash when applicable, certification IDs, dataset/API versions, age tiers, status, expiry, issuer metadata.
Successive manifests may be hash-chained so alteration is evident. Hashes verify file integrity relative to recorded digests; they do not prove factual truth. Public ledgers never expose API secrets, child data, private customer data, confidential evidence, proprietary raw datasets, or security-sensitive details.

Truth-in-Advertising & Safety Boundary
Every feature is labeled Operational / Pilot / Proposed / Research / Retired. Planned functions are not marketed as live. Rescue, adoption, partnership, training, certification, security, and impact claims require documented evidence.
No technology is described as impossible to hack. Advanced database/encryption concepts remain Proposed until exact implementation, threat model, and independent validation are documented.
The design objective is freedom inside safe boundaries: protect, teach, create, connect, and gradually release.
